This April  the Southern Graphics Conference International (SGCI) annual convening happens in Providence, Rhode Island and to celebrate AS220 presents four exhibitions celebrating the rich and diverse printmaking practices that flourish in the local community.

Crossheads - curated by Lois Harada
Crossroads is a group exhibition of contemporary printmaking, featuring the works of Andre Lee Bassuet, Lois Harada, Juana Estrada Hernández, Katie Garth, Suerynn Lee, Madeleine McGarrity, Jordan Seaberry, Dan Wood, Jazzmen Lee Johnson, and Henry Brown.

Swap/Exchange/Trade: A PVDPrintmakers Exhibition
Drawing inspiration from practices of print trades and swaps in the printmaking world, “Swap/Exchange/Trade”  transforms the tradition of exchange to a unique collection of artwork. In an active encouragement of play, experimentation and celebration of printmaking mediums, this exhibition underscores PVDPrintmakers’ mission to create accessible opportunities for printmakers of all backgrounds.

Homeisland, Home is Land - Works by Edwige Charlot feat. Noél Puéllo
Homeisland, Home is Land explores the complexities of diasporic experience through the art of Edwige Charlot and Noél Puéllo. This exhibition delves into themes of dislocation, rupture, and the enduring power of collective memory through a transdisciplinary printmaking practice.

AS220 at SGCI - Refuge Of All The Arts
Members of AS220 Community present a collection of print media and works that reflects the spirit of AS220’s longstanding mission as an “unjuried and uncensored” artists centered community, extended into the many programs within the organization including AS220’s Community Studios. This exhibition embraces the creative diversity that enriches the AS220 network.
